THE COUNTRY & THE PEOPLE

Located in eastern Africa, Tanzania is almost three times the size of Germany. Yet with its about 65.5 million inhabitants, the country is less densely populated across wide areas. In the Wasso area (Ngorongoro region), for instance, population density averages 12 persons per square kilometre. About 90% belong to the Maasai people.
Mwanza is Tanzania’s second largest city with a population of over two million. Different ethnic groups live there.
For us Europeans, the people and also the landscapes look at first somewhat “exotic”. However, after a short time one learns to understand and to love them. A magnificent experience is of course a visit to the national parks, such as the Serengeti with its huge herds of animals in the wild.

It is no exaggeration to say that Tanzania is one of the most beautiful countries on Earth. Come and visit!
